Text Box: Our Client’s specifications asked Schultheis Automation to provide a Door Machine position feedback system.  This included a complete Allen-Bradley Control Logix PLC system capable of displaying, collecting  & storing Door Machine Data consisting of Coke Temperatures, Door Cleaning / Jamb Cleaning, Hood Car Damper data, as well as alarming specified events.  
We were to include an Operators Work Station which included a Panelview operator interface that interfaces to the Control Logix PLC via DH+ Text Box: interface.  This operator interface provided a diagnostic screen to visually show the operator the current status of all inputs & outputs.  Screens were automatically switch between screens as needed.
A “Parameter’s Screen”, which is password protected, have functions that will disable/enable the screens from switching automatically.  This Screen is designed for maintenance and diagnostics troubleshooting of the machine.

Coke Door Machine Project

Technical duties for Installation & Startup

A. Schultheis Automation co-coordinated the installation by our client and start-up activities so that interference with operations is kept to the absolute minimum. 

B. Schultheis Automation  provided all personnel, instruments, equipment, programming terminals, etc., necessary for the control system start-up and testing for both the Operator Workstation & Control Logix PLC Door Machine data monitoring system.  All communications; Control Logix to Intellution via wireless Ethernet, Control Logix to Temperature eyes via RS485 to RS-232 serial, Temperature eyes to laptop via RS485 to RS-232 serial, Control Logix to Panelview & Saturn Door PLC via DH+,as well as all digital and analog signals to be tested at the factory and must pass the Factory Acceptance Test prior to shipping.

C. Schultheis Automation provided a trained representative for a minimum of two consecutive weeks (five days per week, eight hours per day to provide technical assistance during the course of the installation of the new system for each door machine.
